The Washington Wizards fired head coach Eddie Jordan today after the team’s 1-10 start. Director of player development (whatever that means) Ed Tapscott will take over as interim coach. While i don’t agree with the decision, mainly because Gilbert Arenas and Brendan Haywood have been out with injuries, something had to be done. This team still has some young talent and two all star caliber players in Caron Butler and Antwan Jamison. They just seemed like they were playing with no emotion or heart and its not hard to blame the head coach for that.
Eddie Jordan is a good coach and should find another job soon. And hopefully for the fans in Washington, the team can get the wake up call and start actually caring.
Mitch Lawerence reports that Al Harrington’s back is suddenly feeling better after he was traded to the Knicks. Al says its a dream come true and he’s likely to play on Tuesday.

Jermaine O’Neal is hurt again and the Raptors are looking flat out bad. After getting spanked by Boston, Doug Smith writes about the team’s frustrated star Chris Bosh. Even KG can sense his pain.
Jerry Tarkanian’s career will always be marred by controversy. All three of his Division I coaching stops (Long Beach Sate, UNLV, Fresno State) have seen varying degrees of punishment and scrutiny from the NCAA. But one moment stands out among the rest. This one moment ultimately led to a snowball of investigations and allegations which led to Tarkanian resigning from UNLV in 1992. That moment began with this photo:

Shout out to DimeMag.com. I found this video on their site and I thought it was hilarious. It shows the lighter side of Mike and has some pretty funny cameos as well. Check it out!
Last night the Rockets and Suns got into a little beef. It wasn’t really a brawl, more like a scuffle. Matt Barnes started it with a clear cheap shot on Rafer Alston. I completely understand his reaction to the play.
I think it could have all been stopped early on but Steve Nash had to be a tough guy and stir everything up more. Then Shaq showed why he is “The Diesel” and starting moving grown men around like he was playing two-hand touch with toddlers. Interesting though was the absence of Ron Artest. Maybe he is maturing.
